We patiently waited and worked toward this moment.
We took the time we needed to make sure that every person with whom we work is operating in a safe environment and could happily work again. The same way we believe in slow and timeless fashion, I decided to take the time we needed to pause the production, which would have put too much stress on a displaced team, and prioritize compassion toward everyone’s personal challenge and discover that in what was apparent stillness, there were strengths to unleash creativity and build new connections.
In the last months, instead of making clothes, we leveraged the brainpower of a remote team made of people who I have never met in person, but who share similar values and dreams. Today we are a more agile and prepared business with an expanded network of artisans and new team members who contributed to build a new version of Maakola.
Thanks for joining this journey, even in its quietest time.
We are ready to set sail again!
I can’t wait to share with you everything that we have been working on.
